The Universal Women’s Network™ is a private network and global platform committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging by raising the bar to advance women in their network, community, and workplaces. Each year UWN runs the Women of Inspiration™ Awards to “recognize the achievements of women from diverse industries who lead, inspire and motivate! Women of Inspiration™ are CEOs’, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, trailblazers, game-changers, changemakers and SupportHER (male allies) making an impact in our local, national, and global communities.”

For UWN, the Mentorship Award is awarded to a business woman or professional who has dedicated their career to the advancement of women. They are someone who leads by example within a circle of reciprocity and a visible track record of success personally and professionally.

Chantal is a builder of people and businesses. She volunteers with a number of initiatives: Unity, a national charity that uses hiphop to help youth build resilience, Women in Communications and Technology Atlantic, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce WorkForce Taskforce, and Techsploration. She is a mentor with the Newcomer Entrepreneurship Hub, judge with Ryzhe Ventures, and member of many women in tech, startup, and ‘future of work’ peer groups. The creation of EnPoint was born from reconnecting with her passion of helping others find the careers they love. The company was created in response to the need to keep young and talented professionals in Nova Scotia and to address the systemic problem of their departure following graduation. Today, they have expanded to offer their services and software to support organizations across Canada. Whether it’s her work with EnPoint or outside, Chantal is fueled by her purpose of helping others through mentorship.

In her acceptance speech, Chantal gives thanks to UWN for the work that they do to celebrate women around the world who are doing amazing things.

“To my fellow leaders, thank you for being you - leading by example, refusing to be anything but yourself, and in doing so inspiring generations to come. I am humbled and honoured to accept this award on behalf of all the amazing and courageous women in my life. Each time one of us wins and is lifted up by many, we all win.”
