EnPoint CEO to join VFC 2025 Employer Advisory Council

Driving Innovation in Canada’s Startup Ecosystem

We couldn't be prouder to share that Chantal will be joining the Advisory Council this year! EnPoint has been fortunate to have 8 Venture for Canada interns join EnPoint on a variety of projects, over the last 12 months. We have also participated in the internship program in the past! Chantal shared, "having experienced being an employer with them I have nothing but amazing things to say. However I am and have been an advocate and a believer in the work that they've been doing since the very beginning of their journey.  I am so happy to support in this way, it's a meaningful engagement, so happy to get my time there.  I am eager to also gain experience and to learn from other entrepreneurs and start ups who are creating opportunities for work integrated learning in their organizations. For me, it’s a win win!"

Press Release: February 3, 2025 - Venture for Canada (VFC) is proud to introduce the members of its 2025 Employer Advisory Council (EAC). Bringing together 25 changemakers from startups, small businesses, and diverse industries, the EAC enters its fourth year as a cornerstone of VFC’s mission to foster a more entrepreneurial Canada. Over their 12-month tenure, these industry leaders will serve in a consultative capacity, offering strategic insights to support the growth and evolution of VFC’s programs.

This year, the EAC welcomes 15 new members alongside 10 returning leaders, representing nine provinces across Canada. With expertise spanning technology, STEM, human resources, health and wellness, education, and social impact, the council reflects the evolving needs of Canada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. By uniting leaders from these dynamic sectors, the EAC is uniquely positioned to address emerging challenges and opportunities shaping the future of work and innovation.

“Our Employer Advisory Council brings diverse insights that keep us adaptive and future-focused,” said Scott Stirrett, Founder and CEO of Venture for Canada. “Their expertise ensures our programs remain impactful, relevant, and future-ready."

As we welcome this year’s council, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the 2024 outgoing EAC members, whose dedication and insights have played a pivotal role in shaping VFC’s strategic direction. Gina Patterson, Chief Programs Officer at Venture for Canada, adds,

“Good customer-centric design and Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. Our council brings together collaborative thinkers and problem-solvers who help us move the needle toward a more entrepreneurial, diverse, and solutions oriented workforce in Canada." – Gina Patterson, VFC Chief Programs Officer
